Engetower is a company specialized in developing solutions and structural engineering designs for the power transmission and distribution sectors

 

 

Founded on May, 1995 and made up of experienced professionals, the company has the permanent objective of searching for innovative structural solutions or improvements to the traditionally used solutions that may, without any impact on reliability, result in competitive advantages for the projects in which it takes part. In association with that objective, the company is committed to the ongoing improvement of service quality and to punctually fulfilling its contract obligations.

Guided by such objectives and using human and technological resources available, Engetower has been providing the marketplace with globally optimized solutions that were developed using advanced resources such as proprietary integrated software for structural calculations and tridimensional structure modeling, Artificial Intelligence algorithms, project management systems and integration between designers, manufacturers and assemblers etc.

Besides supplying designs, Engetower also takes part in consortiums for turnkey projects and develops broad technical consulting services for structural designs in any stage, encompassing: technical and economic feasibility studies, basic or executive design preparation and management, identification of the origin of structural failures, line requalification or installation of fiber optic cables and development of specific software for its business area.

Engetower outstands in the marketplace for its capacity to innovate as well as for the development of proprietary technological tools. Its objective is to offer what is the most modern and efficient in terms of steel structure calculations and design for the electric power transmission and distribution sector. The use of software developed in the company itself for structural analysis and structure tridimensional modeling allows for agility in terms of data input and automatic result feedback for the optimization of integrated solutions.

1950 – 1970

In the mid 50’s, Italian engineers introduced the detailing process for transmission line latticed towers in Brazil. The work was manual and, since the beginning, based on bidimensional drawings (2D).

1973 – 1977

Engetower founders graduated in Civil Engineering at UFMG (Federal University of Minas Gerais)

1977-1995

The partner engineers were in the technical body of Morrison Knudsen S.A. and Mendes Júnior, two multinational companies. They worked with design, fabrication and load tests for steel structures.

1995

Engetower was founded and started to develop structural solutions, software, commercial partnerships and to take part in bidding processes.

1996

Development of the Trusspole structural solution

2002

Development of the Cat-Face Monomast Guyed Tower structural solution for 230 kV lines.

2004

Development of the Cat-Face Monomast Guyed Tower structural solution for 345 kV lines.

Development of the Cat-Face Monomast Guyed Tower with expanded bundle structural solution for 230 kV lines.

2006

Development of the vertical-phase double circuit Monomast Tower structural solution for 230 kV lines.

Development of the Monomast Guyed Tower with expanded bundle structural solution for 500 kV lines.

2008

Development of the Monomast Guyed Tower Danube type structural solution for 230 kV lines.

2009

Development of the Monomast Guyed Tower Danube type structural solution for Double Circuit 500 kV lines

2015

Beginning of the implementation process for the BIM (Building Information Modeling) model. The 3D modeling software started to be developed for specific detailing resolutions related to structures for transmission lines

2017

New office and reorganization of internal and external processes with clients.
